While the current portfolio remains relatively small, successful execution of the Group's long-term acquisition strategy could create a materially larger, more cash-generative business than is reflected in the current valuation.

Roadside is building the UK's leading independent platform of modern roadside retail assets, combining fuel and convenience on high-traffic arterial routes. Since repositioning the business in 2024, management has assembled a portfolio of trading forecourts through the acquisitions of Gardner Retail, D. A. Roberts Fuels and Hoch Group, each immediately accretive to underlying earnings, funded through a disciplined mix of legacy capital recycling, a new £25m HSBC revolving credit facility and existing debt lines.
Governance has also grown alongside the strategy, with several key hires including Non-Executive Chair, Steve Carson (leadership roles at Sainsbury’s, ScS) and COO, David Phillpot (BP and M&S). Charles retains a significant stake in the business with a clear market opportunity. Roadside is the only listed independent player, giving access to pools of capital to support its strategy.
Backed by an experienced management team and a disciplined funding programme, Roadside is building scale, fuel volumes and retail capability, showing real momentum towards its longer-term vision.
